OMG yes oh my gosh really technology?

What happened to going out, enjoying a good game of tennis, soccer, netball or rugby? is technology replacing every task that is to be performed by human beings?,  Well today technology is used even for hugs. This is sad, well today marks a day where technology is beginning to step in the place of friends and quality time.

I was intrigued today by the image and article about  a huggable robot. As according to the site on News Dicovery  Hiroshi Ishiguro Japanese  Robot designer  has found a way to change your loved ones voice into  vibrations and create a heartbeat.

I believe that technology is some how over stepping its mark. Technology should be used to enhance ones living not replace people. Will technology cause a shift from people to technology?

Simply the best

I had a look at the various Antiviruses for 2012 and my question was how important is an Antirus?  I found that an Antivirus is the most important  software needed in order to ensure the proper functioning of your laptop or computer. Here is what should be considered before purchasing an Antivirus? the importance and what to consider .

The best Antivirus for 2012 is the Titanium Security Solutions,

The question is what Antivirus are you using why is it the  best Antivirus for you

Nintendo, Apple, Samsung,Nokia, Feel It

As A public relations practitioner I say use technology to communicate well and you will have customers running to your brand.

nintendo disappointing 3ds(http://www.bing.com/)
I was Disappointed today to  hear that my favourite Game industry Nintendo is unable to compete effectively with Microsoft, Sony and Smartphones. It has today lost  £30million.  read more .

I however took a look at the way of which Nintendo is handling this sudden breakdown of sales and its great to see that the company is not laying back and sulking about its loss in sales. iIt has already expressed how it wil learn from the mistakes of the 3DS launch and will perform better with the Wii that is to be coming soon.

Im  more interested in finding out  how much competition there is with regards to smartphones,  I found that Samsung and Apple competes with smartphones as well.

The question would be are there any other organisations or structures struggling to suvive because of the Smartphones invention?Landlines as according to Chief Executive Officer of  Timico  are soon to be taken over by smartphones. Read and be amazed. Is this far fetched? If this succeeds will   Telkom  and Neotell still  be big shots?

Techno- Rape

What is going on with technoogy and its usage?
I  Thought technology was used positively. There is a  is fine line line between the  positive and negative way that technology is used today isint there?
Children learn how to type, watch videos, learn how to stop cyber bullying through wisconsins bullying law.University of Johannesburg students can use their phones or the internet to access  Edulink. and  to interact with lecturers and university tasks and Teachers  are able to use Engrade, to manage students marks. Thats just

the positive side...

As a  public relations practitioner blogging about technology, I today feel ashamed and upset at what technology today can used for. As according to CNN report by Nkepile Mabuse, in South Africa a group of idiotic Soweto youths recorded themselves raping an innocent 17 year old girl read more

From  a communications point of view I feel that if it were not for technology tools such as cellphones and cameras, it would be a case of "your word against mine in court". there would be no timely evidence of events, but at the same time I feel that  technology is wrongfully used.

The manner of which these soweto  youths used  technology expresses how technology can be horribly abused. These Soweto youths had to have a video capturing phone to record this.  What is going on in our youths minds today? Is the creation of new phones with cameras, and videos  an excuse to  behave this way?

Setting a Trend with JJ..

I read an interesting article today about how Julius malema was used like a condom read more and I was caught by the annonymous writer on the article  who said "Enough is enough please go rest Malema. Youth is still confuse of you remarks. And South African National Congress lost many supporters because of your argoncy within the party " .  This made me think of the impact and the influence that the media has on  potraying leaders of our country and what technology tools are used to influence people.

I was also interested in the Social medias trends with political leaders which involved
I realised that the social media is taking a negative toll on  Political leaders such as Julius malema.

What does Julius Malema possesses?  a Mansion worth  R16 million  what do you think about this? Who has the right to scrutinise him for having the wealth that he has?

Experience the wow factor

A beautiful turn of events this week, The BMW has launched to the public its i8 electrical spider concept model on the 4th of April.  As a public relations practitioner who works with  relationship building I tend to question whether or not the type of car that is driven by employees and business owners adds to their personal image."One in every three premium vehicles sold in South Africa is from the BMW Group" says a proud  Managing director and driver of  BMW, Bodo Donauer.  (http://edition.cnn.com/2012/03/01/business/bmwsouthafrica )

(Source: http://www.wheels24.co.za/)

The question however is, what is BMW trying to achieve with its organisation?.According to October (2011) reports Mercedes Benz sold 10 percent more sales than BMW in the United States. Its no wonder BMW tries so hard to achieve high sales. BMW in South Africa has according to sales figures obtained a 12.8% growth as compared to its sales in  2010. It sems as if driving an expensive car such as the BMW also requires that one  be involved in knowing which organisations are in competition with your car. Is BMW a worthwhile brand to be loyal to?, as according to DriveRSA the BMW is the " best selling luxury car brand".

(Source http://www.wheels24.co.za/ )

Lets face it.  BMW has never failed to produce a top quality car ever since the M car models were created...  As a public relations I wonder if the BMW is the best car for me? Well after the creation of this 250km/h top speed car, up swivelling doors, electric kickboards, two seater, 166 turbo charged three cylinder turbo petrol engine,lithium- ion battery, plug in hybrid powered by edrive drivetrain,(http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/) .
The i8 electric spider car  is the best car is it not?

Who is responsible for missing John Naisby? Social media or John?

Online technology is a scary world, from a public relations perspective it makes me wonder whether or not social media organisations such as Facebook Twitter and My space, have come to todays society to create havoc  or to actually better the lives of citizens today, . Retired love struck 83 year old Engineer John Robertson Naisby has been missing since 15 february 2012,after he travelled from Cape town to meet 51 year old kidnapper,  facebook lover Zaheera Wookey in Johannesburg. When Sunday Times asked Zaheera Wookey  how the loving couple met on facebook she expressed defensively " You can meet people all over the world on Facebook cant you?" "The police are investigating and I want nothing to do with this".She claims that her and John exchanged email addresses and spoke once or twice a week.  read more on :

The question is what is Facebook doing to secure your personal information?

Are citizens  using Facebook as a tool to kidnap innocent victims?

Should social media tools allow for contact details to be published and risk being  tracked through requiring citizens to leave their personal phonenumbers  on  social media networks for everyone to see?
