Its google time

I believe Google is going to be  talk of the town next week as it is to  reveal its project glass virtual reality glasses idea. http://money.cnn.com/2012/04/04/technology/google-project-glassThe glasses as displayed in the image are to take the functions of a smart phone. The lens is to  display text messages, maps, reminders, videos charts and also , take pictures through the usage of activated voice commands.

Google has not yet decided the official release of this devise, it is still to be decided wether the glasses should be " wirelessly powered by the smartphone or wether theyshould be stand-alone".http://money.cnn.com/2012/04/04/technology/google-project-glass

My question is is our society  becoming  culturally lost in the world of technological innovation? It seem as though our society is moving into a crisis whereby new technological tools are created to createisolation?

Will future generations even need to go to school or will there be a technological devise programmed to teach subjects?

However we are still to have a nokia tablet in the palm of our hands. The Nokias 10'' will be released in the fourth quater of 2012,read more it would be interesting to see whether nokia can maintain its simplicity in terms of its graphic user interphase which is designed to be user friendly, as that is what it is well known for- to provide ultimate sophistication through simplicity as according to Steven Elop CEo of Nokia.
see the video on

The question today is, is  Nokia trying to win back the hearts of its hopefulls?. Is Nokia trying to enhance the social network as we know it or is it adding to a choice variety of tablet?. Could Nokia have spotted an innovation that its competitors such as Apple and Samsung have not?.What is it that the new Nokia tablet has that other competitors such as Apple and Samsung are not fulfilling?. As a public relations practitioner I feel that Nokia is trying to enhance its social network what do you think?

Technology and views rule

Its amazing how technology today is forever changing as according to ISTE and the NETS
 http://www.iste.org/standards.aspx

(Source: http://static1.channels.com/)
According toMellenium Branding on the 16 of March 2012 "people aged 18 to 29 are  using their facebook , My space and twitter to create goood proffessional images m of themselves. Tim cook CEO of the iPad believes the iPad " will outsell PCs in the coming years thanks to the explosive popularity of one-panel slates as well as innovation from tablet makers and app developers".

Did You Know?
  1. iPad has new retinal display.
  2. The iPad supports personal hotspot functionality, sharing the 3G/4G connection out over WiFi with up to five devices.
  3. The iPad has s a backside camera with  five megapixels.
  4.  Digital video stabilization is included.

The iPad allows you to sit in any position you want to sit in  to see the screen unlike a comuter that forces you to sit upright. The question however  is, is the  Ipad changing social media and will organisations such as The Public relations Institute of South Africa use this trend of using iPads?
